Peace United Methodist Church – Spiritual Growth

Spiritual Growth

“Of all the commandments, which is the most important? The most important one, answered Jesus, is this: Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.

Mark 12:28-31

As United Methodists, we believe that every Christian is called to practice Living Faith—faith that combines a deep love of God with a strong commitment to serving others in his name. The founder of Methodism, John Wesley, wanted “enthused disciples” who were on fire for Christ (hence the symbol of Methodism is the cross and flame!). Living Faith means that we are alive in Christ and that Christ is alive in our world through us.

At Peace our purpose is to help you grow in your walk with Jesus Christ and then send them you out to make a difference in our community, our country, and our world. We invite you to join us on this exciting journey of faith, represented by these four words: Come, Grow, Connect, and Serve. Below are the opportunities you have here at Peace to explore each of the four dimensions of faith. If you have any questions about where to begin, contact us at 407-438-8947.

Blessings for your journey!
