Adult Ministries & Harmony Groups

Adult Groups provide opportunities for you to meet consistently with other adults for authentic community and spiritual growth. These groups meet at various times and locations, so you can find one that works best for you!

Book Study with Pastor Bobbi (for women): meets weekly @ 1:00 p.m. (during the school year). Even if your calendar seems too full to add one more thing to your plate, we hope you will open your heart to the idea that the Lord might be calling you join with other women from Peace in small group book study.  Is it time to get out of a row and into a circle? (Currently on hiatus)
Chancel Choir:  meeting for rehearsals every Thursday evening @ 7:30 p.m. Like to make a joyful noise to the Lord? The Chancel Choir leads music for the 11:00 a.m. worship service. We perform a wide range of traditional compositions and work hard to make each piece as precise and meaningful as possible. We seek to glorify God and to inspire the faith of all who hear.
Circle of Hope: meets monthly on the 3rd Thursday @ 11:00 a.m. in the Youth Room (during the school year)Circle of Hope is a multi-generational interactive Bible Study care group encouraging inclusiveness to all women.  We seek God’s guidance in caring, learning, sharing and growing.  Meetings are at church the 3rd Thursday of each month except June and July.  We are currently studying a J. Ellsworth Kalas’ book, “If Experience is such a Good Teacher, Why do I keep repeating the Course.”  You are invited to join us.  We promise a warm welcome. (Next Class is August 15th)
Emmaus Reunion Group (for women): meeting every Thursday evening at Peace @6:30 p.m. The Emmaus reunion is a small accountability group of women who have participated in the three-day Walk to Emmaus and who want to continue their pursuit of a life lived wholly in the grace of God.  These small follow-up groups help pilgrims translate the message conveyed on the Walk to Emmaus weekend into a daily walk with Christ. 
Griefshare: meets seasonally at Peace on Thursday nights from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in Class Room B. Talking with others is a healing ingredient in the journey of grief. Griefshare is a 13-week support group open to anyone that is dealing with the death of a loved one. Our classes meet on Thursday nights, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the Youth Room. Healing Prayer Group: meets weekly on Sunday evenings @ 6:00 p.m. in the Choir Room. In addition to praying for individuals in need of healing, we also study books on healing, prayer, and health.  
Ladies of Peace (off campus): meets monthly in various locations around Orlando. Our purpose is to connect the ladies of Peace through social gatherings designed especially for women. Join our Facebook group for more information. (Next gathering is July 26th)
Pastor Jim’s Pub Group (off campus): meets every other Tuesday event @ 7:00 p.m at Lucky’s Market in Hunter’s Creek – 4169 Town Center Blvd., Orlando.  Led by Pastor Jim Berlau, we have lively discussions on contemporary headlines approached from a Christian world view.(Dates listed on the Peace Church calendar)
Praise Team: meets weekly for rehearsal on Wednesday evenings @ 7:45 p.m. The Praise Team is dedicated to glorifying God with our music. We believe that praise expressed through joyful song can bring new dimensions to worship. To accomplish diversity and musical excellence, we are always looking for skilled vocalists and musicians. Please contact the church office for an audition meeting.
Shalom Sunday School Class: meets weekly on Sundays @ 9:30 a.m. in the Choir Room. We discuss Scriptures, share mutual experiences and learn from each others’ faith journeys.  Although the primary membership includes adults age 40 and older, adults of any age have attended and are welcome. The class is led a retired pastor who guide the participants through in-depth Bible Study (Adult Bible Studies) that explores themes and individual books of the Bible. 
Susannah Wesley UMW Circle: meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month @ 9:30 a.m. in the Choir Room (during the school year). We are United Methodist Women Bible Study circle.  Our current book study is “Christianity and World Religions” written by Adam Hamilton. Christianity and four major world religions, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam and Judaism are examined. All ladies of the church are invited to join us. (Next Class is August 27th)

Tuesday Morning Breakfast Group: meeting every Tuesday morning from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. at Big John’s Rockin’ BBQ on Main Street in Kissimmee. This group is open to all (all ages, men and women, and whatever your theological viewpoint, if any) and we love robust discussion! All are welcome! (And first-time attendees get a free breakfast.)
