Peace Youth
Through worship, service, outreach, and community, our mission is to encourage teens in their development of a personal relationship with God as they learn to trust His word, let Him lead, and live a life that reflects Him. The teenagers of today live in a very different world. They need a community to experience the peace and grace of God, and to be in a healthy, loving Christian environment. Our goal is to have an exciting, interactive, and very real ministry. Sign up for our text reminders! Text “PEACE” to 40650 to cancel, send STOP to 40650 at any time. Director of Student Ministries Announcement

On Sunday, December 8th, Katherine Hayes, Director of Student Ministries at Peace United Methodist Church, announced at Sunday Night Youth that after much consideration and prayer, she has decided to leave her position with Peace Church, effective December 26th.  Katherine has made a significant impact on the lives of many students within the Student Ministry here at Peace.  While she will be greatly missed, we as a church are completely supportive of her decision.

We are excited to announce that Emma Harmon, a longtime youth counselor at Peace Church and an active member of the youth group during her middle school and high school years, has graciously accepted the position as interim Part-Time Director of Student Ministries until our next steps are determined.  Emma has a deep passion for the Lord, for students, and for Peace Youth specifically.  Her main focus will be lending leadership to our Sunday evening programming, along with most of the regularly scheduled events within the ministry.

Peace Church is in the middle of a Vision Casting process and will immediately begin to prayerfully consider the direction of the Youth program and what its leadership will look like. In the meantime, Peace Youth will move forward with its active and energetic team of counselors, along with a healthy amount of parental support.
