Through worship, service, outreach, and community, our mission is to encourage teens in their development of a personal relationship with God as they learn to trust His word, let Him lead, and live a life that reflects Him. The teenagers of today live in a very different world. They need a community to experience the peace and grace of God, and to be in a healthy, loving Christian environment. Our goal is to have an exciting, interactive, and very real ministry.

Congratulations to Our New Director of Student Ministry!

We are excited to announce that Emma Harmon has officially accepted the offer of Director of Student Ministry for Peace Church!  She will continue at a part-time status and will continue to receive administrative support from Julie Chatfield.  Emma has done an amazing job stepping into this role that has been at an “interim” status since January. The work she has done over these last few months has been incredibly beneficial to the students, their families, and Peace Church as a whole.  I am more than thrilled to have Emma continue her ministry journey here at Peace.

Previous to this recent interim role, Emma had been volunteering with Peace Youth.  After being heavily involved with the ministry from 6th-12th grade and graduating from Freedom High School, Emma went to Florida State University in Tallahassee where she received her Bachelors of Music Education. While in Tallahassee, Emma worked in the Children’s, Youth, and Music Ministries at her local church and also served as a youth counselor with another local youth ministry. She was faithfully involved with her campus ministry, UKIRK Tallahassee and served as the outreach intern in her last year at FSU.  Emma has been passionate about mission work since her time in youth, helping found 4M in 2012, and continued that passion by working as the Philadelphia Site Director of the International Missions Organization, YouthWorks, last summer. Emma will continue to teach Music at Conway Elementary in addition to working with our youth group at Peace.

“Peace Youth has been important to me for over half of my life, and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else! We have really amazing students, a great group of volunteer youth counselors, and I’m so grateful to continue to be a part of it all. We have so much to look forward to in the next year.  God is moving in miraculous ways through our youth ministry and I’m so excited for what God has in store for us in the near future!”

We are so excited for you Emma!!!
